Do I need to bring wood?
No. A supply of wood is provided for your stay.
What cooking facilities are provided?
There is an extensive range of quality cookware, serving dishes, appliances and a 6 burner BBQ.
Kitchen basics such as foil, cling wrap, paper towel, canola spray, salt and pepper, herbs and spices are also in place for convenience.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, unlimited free Wi-Fi is available at Merton Downs.
Is there good mobile phone reception?
We are situated in a rural location, so some mobile phones may not get good coverage, with the exception of Telstra & Optus which both get a good signal.
Where is the nearest supermarket?
Mansfield is under 30 minutes’ drive from our Retreat where you’ll find Foodworks and IGA supermarkets. If you’re traveling through Yea or Alexandra on your way, these are good places to stock up before you arrive.
Are pets permitted at Merton Downs?
Well behaved pets are welcomed and well catered for at Merton Downs. The property is securely fenced. Pets are permitted indoors excluding bedrooms.
Is there ample parking?
There is plenty of parking space for cars and trailers.
Are there any animals at the farm?
Merton Downs is part of a working farm. As such there may be cattle and sheep grazing nearby during your stay. Our sheep keep the grass down, so gates must be closed after use. Pets are not permitted to chase the livestock.
All bookings for Merton Downs are subject to the following terms and conditions. You will be required to provide 50% deposit via Paypal to secure your booking prior to arrival and payment of the remaining balance on arrival.
As a very small business, late cancellations often result in empty accommodation which has a significant impact on our business. The booking and cancellation policies stated here apply to all bookings. Travel insurance is recommended for all bookings to provide adequate protection against unforeseen circumstances and cancellation of travel.
